TEAM BUILDING

This is a fun and creative workshop for companies looking to build a stronger connection with their team. The workshop starts off with time for coffee and tea made with fresh nana and lemon grass leaves from the garden. Weather permitting the members can go out and sit by the fishpond or wander through the therapy garden to enjoy the first few minutes of the workshop.

The first part of the workshop is designated to team building games. The games provide an opportunity for people to learn more about each other in a safe and friendly environment. Once the group feels comfortable in the setting and with each other, they can find the opportunity to connect and discover mutual interests and experiences. Once we finish the games, we will head into the art room to start our project.

Each team member is given a glass bowl or container in which they will create their own succulent terrarium. The members start by filling up their bowls with gravel and special soil. They can then choose from the wide selection of plants set out on the deck. After that is done, they can design their terrarium with the plants, pebbles and stones and the myriad of art supplies provided. The workshop takes place on communal tables which gives everyone a chance to chat and help each other with ideas and materials. At the end of the workshop each member leaves with a beautiful terrarium full of fond memories of their team’s day out.

The Team Building workshop lasts approximately two hours.

  • Elizabeth, a licensed art and garden therapist, worked for many years with children in the school system as well as children at risk. Her dream was to open an Art and Garden Therapy Center, offering children (and adults) the opportunity to face challenges in a warm, natural and creative environment. Her dream is now a reality, helping to make a difference in the lives of her clients, and their families as well as the community as a whole.
  • Stunning place and lovely and fun activity for the whole family! Highly recommended. We really enjoyed it! We were a family in the 10 to 50 age range, and it was a fun experience for all.
  • A magical and special place. Highly recommend!!
  • We are so grateful for the creativity, fun, curiosity and kindness that you both modeled and strengthened in our son.
  • Thank you Elizabeth for all your love and support and work with our daughter. Like your garden, you've helped her blossom.
