ABOUT
Hachamama Shel Elizabeth is an art and garden therapy center for children and adults.
The center’s uniquely serene outdoor setting, where natural beauty emits tranquility and security, makes it the ideal place for therapy. Clients often say they feel calmer and happier as soon as they walk into the center.
The weaving path to the studio and garden is lined with olive trees and local flora. The fully equipped art studio offers uplifting views of the fishpond and garden center. The therapy garden provides clients with land on which they can design, grow and nurture their own garden.
Elizabeth Kay, the owner and founder of Hachamama Shel Elizabeth, received her M.A. in art therapy from Haifa University and her license in garden therapy from Seminar Hakibutzim. Currently Elizabeth is studying trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at Metiv, The Israel Psychotrauma Center in Jerusalem.
Elizabeth has extensive experience working with children. She has worked with youth at risk at the Ben Shemen youth village and established therapy gardens in the Kfar Hayarok youth village and Kfar Saba’s Alumim program for children at risk as well as with school children in Modiin.
Hachamama Shel Elizabeth is the realization of Elizabeth's dream to combine the world of therapy with her passions, gardening and art.
